Have you ever looked at the inside of someone’s car and found it’s a mess? It sure tells a lot about that person, doesn’t it? It’s not overstating it to say that virtually every gym is moderately filthy or just plain filthy. We take great pride in the way our place looks, smells, and feels for our members…and we pay a premium to keep it that way.

Air Quality

In keeping with our commitment to the highest standards in overall facility cleanliness, Main Event Fitness recently installed the latest air decontamination technology by Philips® to insure that air breathed by our members and guests is as good as it can possibly be. To our knowledge, no other fitness facility in the region employs this sophisticated system for air cleansing, utilizing high-energy ultraviolet light [UVGI (Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation)] from the “Air Probe Sanitizer” purification system to eliminate bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens in the air that’s being circulated through the HVAC system. 

Steam Disinfecting

Unavoidably, we all carry some forms of pathogens on our hands and clothing when we arrive for a workout. It is our intent to make the workout space as clean as possible for all visitors; use of a periodic steam sterilization treatment on the exercise equipment and in the bathrooms helps us achieve that goal, for everyone’s benefit. The superheated dry steam technology instantly kills 99.9% of all surface borne bacteria and other micro-organisms.

Special Lighting

Our lighting is actually really cool. Yes, we use special electronics and uniquely engineered lighting technology that has been proven as effective for light therapy purposes. This special light literally energizes the human system by interaction with our light receptors…an advantage for everyone year round, but particularly on the dreary days of the year.  In fact, Germany has even banned ordinary cool-white fluorescent lighting in both schools and hospitals for its harmful effects. Ordinary fluorescent lights can emit X-rays, radiation, and radio waves – emissions that can decrease productivity and cause fatigue, confusion, eyestrain, irritability, depression, and hyperactivity in children. That’s a good enough reason to be different from the others, right?

We chose to install granite in the bathrooms and locker rooms because we recognize quality and want the best for our members. We strive to be unique and this is just another example of our commitment to excellence.
